330 roads closed due to rain-triggered landslides, flashfloods

According to Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh, 330 roads and two major four-lane highways, including Kalka-Shimla, have been blocked across the state owing to rain-triggered landslides and flashfloods during the state's ongoing monsoons.

During his recent visit to the state, Vikramaditya Singh thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for pledging a Rs 400 crore package for flood-ravaged Kullu district repair.

Nearly 200 rain-related deaths have been reported in Himachal Pradesh in the 41 days since the monsoon began, according to the state disaster management office.
