After tendering his resignation, Rupani thanked the BJP central leadership and the prime minister. "I want to thank BJP for giving me this opportunity to serve as Gujarat's CM. Surprisingly, they took out around 1,000 kilograms of waste. Yes, you heard it right! The residents themselves were shocked to see the never-ending garbage coming out from the drain. The people living in that area were surprised to know that even after the concerned authorities had conducted a cleaning drive ahead of the monsoon season, this much waste was collected. In time and age of 'Dismantling Global Hindutva', a day in the life of a Hindu on campus abroad

Firstpost is convinced that Dismantling Global Hindutva (DGH), a three-day online conference (from Sept 10-12) planned by anonymous organisers in the US, is a partisan and politically motivated event designed to malign an ancient religion and its adherents. Through columns and reported pieces, this Firstpost  series exposes why such programmes are misleading, agenda-driven, and nothing but thinly-veiled Hinduphobia. *** Infinite. That is what comes to my mind when I wonder how many personal messages I have received from young Hindus all around the world detailing their harrowing experiences during their campus days. From being called "dotheads" and "cow piss drinkers" to being force-fed beef under the garb of a joke or by "mistake", on-campus traumatic episodes are aplenty. In the aftermath of these incidents, most young Hindus on campus put their heads down, worked harder and became successful in their chosen careers, while carrying the trauma of the

On A Wing And A Prayer: Kushal M Choksi's book on 9/11 terror attacks depicts internal turmoil of a 'brown-skinned' survivor

9/11 is a chapter of world history that continues to be written even 20 years after the Twin Towers of New York's World Trade Centre were blown up in a terror attack. I was 16, barely out of school, when the tragedy unfolded on my television screen in 2001. Now, I am 36, still struggling to understand the extent of harm that has been caused, not only in the United States and in Afghanistan, but all over the world, because the cycle of vioflence is yet to cease. Do you wonder what happened to the people in Manhattan who survived the attack but saw the towers crumble before their own eyes? How do they feel each year on the anniversary of this event? What are the stories that they tell and retell about the day that changed everything? Have they been able to process the trauma, and move on? I read Kushal M Choksi's book On A Wing And A Prayer (2021) to find answers, and I was satisfied. If you are looking for rage, blame and retribution, this book will give you nothing to hold o

'Dismantling Global Hindtuva' event propels first major global mobilisation of Hindus

On 11 September - the anniversary of the Islamist terrorist attack that brought down the Twin Towers in Manhattan and led to the US entering a two-decade war in Iraq and Afghanistan - the Taliban, cocking a brutal snook at the US, is set to inaugurate their Sharia-compliant government full of men who have been declared terrorists in various parts of the world. The leader of this government is Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, notoriously on a United Nations blacklist. It gets worse. The Interior Minister is from the infamous
