'Tribe of distorians': Congress slams NSA Doval on his 'Subhas Chandra Bose would've prevented partition' claim

The Congress has hit out at the National Security Adviser Ajit Doval over his claim that the partition of India in 1947 would not have happened had Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose been alive. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted that Doval has joined “the tribe of distorians.” Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had the audacity to fearlessly challenge the British and India would not have been partitioned if he was there at that time, Ajit Doval said on Saturday. Mr. Ajit Doval who doesn’t speak much has now joined the tribe of Distorians. 1. Did Netaji challenge Gandhi? Of course he did. 2. Was Netaji a leftist? Of course he was. 3. Was Netaji secular? Of course staunchly and stoutly so. 4. Without Congress no front can effectively oppose BJP says RLD's Ramashish Rai

The Rashtriya Lok Dal, a Samajwadi Party supporter, has called for a unified opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, claiming that no front can effectively oppose the BJP without the Congress. The comment by the RLD’s Uttar Pradesh unit chief Ramashish Rai, made ahead of the opposition parties’ meeting in Patna on 23 June, is significant in light of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav’s assertion that seat distribution should be determined by which alliance partner is strongest in a given state. The opposition parties will meet on 23 June, convened by Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar, to plan their strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. “The RLD is in favour of a united opposition. It will endorse the outcome of the meeting to evolve a consensus on opposition unity. We are of the view that without taking the Congress along, no front (against the BJP) can take an effective shape,” Rai told PTI. Asked if there was a strain in the relationship b

Opposition slams BJP for endorsing 'Adipurush' demands apology from filmmakers for 'insulting Hindu Gods'

The release of Om Raut’s epic drama ‘Adipurush’ has caused a stir among the Opposition who say that the film which is based on Ramayana “insults” the Hindu religion. Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Saturday slammed BJP for endorsing a film that “portrays Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lord Shri Hanuman in a negative light” through its derogatory dialogues. “Every Hindu holds Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lord Shri Hanuman in utmost reverence and their heads bow down with respect as soon as their names are mentioned. And yet, the BJP has resorted to depicting them in a film that paints them in a negative light. These BJP leaders are partners in this grave insult of Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lord Shri Hanuman by making and supporting this film,” Singh said.

The Eco Park project is currently underway, and South Delhi MP and BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri said the park is planned to be inaugurated in December.
