Eight rescued after fire breaks out at residential building in Mumbai’s Charni Road; no casualties reported yet

Mumbai: A level-3 fire broke out at a residential building, Aaditya Arcade near Dreamland Cinema on Charni road in Mumbai on Sunday.

Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. As many as eight people who were trapped inside have been rescued by the fire brigade.

Rescue operations are still underway. No casualties or injuries have been reported yet.

Thiruvananthapuram : Over 2,800 people are under observation in Kerala for the novel coronavirus infection and no new cases have been reported, Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja said. India's three positive cases for the virus have been reported from Thrissur, Alappuzuha and Kasaragod districts. At least 2,826 people are under surveillance in the state as of Thursday, a press release quoting the minister said. Home Minister Amit Shah has recovered, likely to be discharged in short time, says AIIMS

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was admitted to AIIMS-Delhi on 18 August for post-COVID care, has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time, hospital authorities said on Saturday. "Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likelyto be discharged in a short time," the AIIMS said in a statement. On 2 August, Shah, 55, had said on Twitter that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He had undergone treatment for the coronavirus infection at Medanta Hospital and was discharged after he tested negative for the disease.
