18 schoolkids, teacher injured after bus overturns near Pokhran in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district

Jodhpur: A school bus overturned in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district after the driver lost control over the wheels Saturday morning, injuring 18 children and one teacher, a police official said.

The children from St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School of Jaipur were on an educational tour to the district, when the accident happened near Pokhran.

Police rescued the children with the help of villagers, the official said.

All the children are being treated at the district hospital, but the teacher has been referred to a Jodhpur hospital for better care, he said.

Three school buses were part of the tour, carrying a total of 140 children, the official said.

"The driver of one of the buses lost control over the wheels and it overturned near a toll plaza in Pokhran," he added.

No reels, avoid being part of political campaigns: Delhi Police issues new social media guidelines for officers

The commissioner of Delhi Police has issued social media guidelines for police personnel asking them to “maintain the dignity of the uniform.” As per the guidelines, police officers in the national capital will be refrained from shooting reels or videos using their mobiles and they must practice extreme caution handling confidential information related to any pending trial or suspect or arrested person and ensure there are no leaks. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora published the guidelines on Friday. The policemen should not post any statements, photos or videos related to departmental training, activities or duties on social media without written permission and also refrain from posting comments that can be derogatory towards victims, suspects or any group, it said.
