US has 'no locus standi' to comment on religious freedom in India: MEA on report alleging attacks by Hindu groups on minorities

India's reaction was to an annual International Religious Freedom Report by the US, which alleged that mob attacks by violent extremist Hindu groups against minority communities continued in India in 2018.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
