On the BSE, Jet Airways' scrip rose 8.59 percent to Rs 163.70. The stock gained 8.61 percent to Rs 163.85, on the NSE.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
