The CBI said in its Supreme Court affidavit said it had closed the disproportionate assets case inquiry against Akhilesh and Mulayam Singh Yadav on 7 August, 2013.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
