To quickly identify cases of violation of the Model Code of Conduct, the Election Commission has come up with an app called cVIGIL to empower citizens to report violations through videos and photos.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
