The Pakistani maritime agency fired on an Indian fishing boat with seven persons on board and sank it on 17 January, following which India has lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over the incident, official sources said Tuesday.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
