Nepal's central bank bans use of India's Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 200 currency notes; move to affect tourists, tourism industry

The central bank said in its circular letter that Indian currency of 200, 500 and 2,000 denominations cannot be carried and used for trading, it said.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
