Heavy snowfall cuts off Kashmir from rest of country; Jammu-Srinagar highway closed, clearing operations underway

Kashmir was cut off from the rest of the country on Saturday as both, surface, as well as aerial connectivity to the valley, was disrupted due to heavy snowfall which threw life out of gear.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
