Foreigners won't be given Indian citizenship without state govts' consent even after citizenship bill is passed, says MHA

Indian citizenship will not be granted to any foreigner without the consent of state governments concerned after the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, Home Ministry spokesperson Ashok Prasad said.
