Ex-CBI chief Alok Verma resigns after refusing take charge as Fire Services DG, says wasn't given chance to explain

In a letter to the Secretary DoPT, ousted CBI Director Alok Verma on Friday rejected his new assignment as DG Fire Service, Civil Defence and Home Guards. Verma noted in the letter that natural justice was scuttled and the entire process was turned upside down to ensure that he was sacked as CBI Director.
