The Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, commonly known as the triple talaq bill even as some of the Opposition staged a walkout.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
