Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath made three major announcements: Faizabad district will be renamed as Ayodhya, a new airport will be named after Lord Rama, and a medical college will be named after Raja Dashratha.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
