The exercises-'Hand-in-Hand'-focussing on counter-terrorism operations were not held last year as both sides were locked in a 73-day standoff in Doka La in the Sikkim sector of the border.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
