Law Ministry endorses proposal to remove time limit to report child sexual abuse, says Maneka Gandhi

On 3 October, Maneka Gandhi had written to Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, asking him to remove the time limit for reporting child sexual abuse and allow people to complain even "10-15 years later".

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
