Air pollution killed over 1 lakh kids under 5 in India in 2016, shows WHO report; reveals pregnant women exposed to PM2.5 likely to give premature birth

The WHO report said about 98 per cent of children under the age of five years in low- and middle-income countries, which include nations like India, were exposed to air pollution caused by finer particulate matters in 2016.
