India accounted for 37% of global suicide deaths among women in 2016; 63% of all suicides under 40: Lancet study

The Global Burden of Disease Study 1990-2016 published in the Lancet Public Health journal said 63 percent of all suicide deaths reported in India were in the 15-39 age group.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
