The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on pleas of hotel and restaurant owners challenging a Maharashtra law imposing restrictions on licensing and functioning of dance bars in the state.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
