Kerala rains: Water outflow from Idukki Dam is 4.25 cumecs for first time in history; evacuation underway along Periyar banks

The Cheruthoni River in Kerala has been overflowing since all five shutters of Idukki Dam were opened to release the water building up because of the rain.
