Mamata Banerjee's will be in Delhi for three days from 31 July. She is expected to personally invite Opposition leaders to a "federal front" rally in Kolkata in January.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
