A Malayalam short-story writer, S Hareesh, has withdrawn his novel being serialised in a weekly after he allegedly received threats from right-wing groups.

There was action and drama in Jharkhand on Wednesday night. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, resigned from his post, and was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
